On the evening of January 28, Chen Haoyu, a girl from Yancheng, on behalf of the World Natural Heritage site— Migratory Bird Sanctuaries along the Coast of Yellow Sea (Bohai Gulf) (Phase I) made her appearance on the CCTV 2025 Spring Festival Gala. Chen Haoyu and other workers engaged in protecting the environment from all over the country sang “My Home” at the Spring Festival Gala, showing that in the past 20 years, the concept of “l(fā)ucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets” has led the construction of beautiful China, andgreen sustainable development has yielded fruitful results. On the big screen of the Gala stage, the magnificent beauty of the Yellow Sea wetland in Yancheng is stunning. During the performance, Chen Haoyu held a lovely red-crowned crane which attracted the attention of many viewers. This red-crowned crane is a witness of the friendship between China and the United States. In October 2023, California Governor Gavin Newsom visited Jiangsu Yancheng National Nature Reserve for Rare Birds where he had a friendly interaction with an extrovert crane, which he named California before leaving.
